Chasing Curiosities through Literature and on the Trail
I’m a homeschooling mama of two spirited young girls. Living on the shores of Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada we spend most of our time taking lessons on the trail or by the lake. Like many families, our passion for homeschool began a few years ago when the public schools shut down (my eldest was in grade 1). We instantly fell in love with this new time of learning together and the world of exciting possibilities that opened up to us.
Inspired by my readings of Charlotte Mason, you’ll find us chasing our curiosities through cozy read-alouds, nature adventures, and big conversations. We often use living books and poetry as our doorway to exploring literacy, science, geography, art, and more. Wherever the story leads us!
With my research degrees and teaching experience I started creating literature-inspired resources and nature studies to share here on Books and Willows. My resources are full of hands-on activities and S.T.E.A.M projects in honor of my girls who dream of being scientists when they grow up. I also write the Nature Study Subject of Harbor + Sprout’s Elementary Curriculum.
