Bundle up and set sail for the top of the world! The World Habitats Adventure Society: Arctic Ocean Elementary Unit Study invites your family to journey into one of Earth’s most fascinating and fragile ecosystems. From drifting sea ice to mighty whales and microscopic plankton, we will explore how life survives, adapts, and connects in the icy north.
🧭 HOW THE ADVENTURE WORKS
1. The Letter
Every great journey needs a guide! You’ll begin by meeting one of our Society’s Field Explorers, who’s out in the wild and writing home about the places they explore and the wonders they discover. Read their letter in your WHAS Welcome Package, and look for their updates at the beginning of each unit section.
2. The Unit Study
This is an in-depth, STEAM-based habitat study, intentionally designed to weave together science, geography, art, history, and creative thinking. Learners investigate how the Arctic Ocean works as a system and why it matters to the rest of the planet.
3. The Logbook
Your World Habitats Adventure Society Logbook is a record of your journey. Collect your habitat badges, record your questions, and capture your favourite discoveries.
